How do I add 3D text?

Add 3D text into your sketch to describe models, add notes, set up the presentation etc.

Access

3D text is part of the Primitives panel. To access it:

1. Select the purple tools button

2. Go to Primitives

3. Select the text button 

4. Tap the letters with the tip of the pointers

5. Select the blue check mark

Change the font

You can change the font of your text before adding it to your sketch but first, you'll have to import .otf or .tff files of a selected font into the app:

1. Import otf/tff file like any 3D file (check here)

2. Go to Primitives and select the text button

3. Select the Fonts button on the keyboard to switch between fonts. You'll see the change in the text bar
