EDU Sponsorship setup checklist
Before you begin a sponsorship, make sure the following items are in place:
Hardware setup
- Confirm that your institution has the required VR hardware (we recommend Meta Quest 3 for optimal results).
- Follow the guides to set up headsets (see Appendix 1).
- Ensure a stable Wifi connection is available
- Ensure the hardware firmware is up to date
Accounts & software
- Create or confirm your EDU Organization with us. Sign up here if you don’t have one
- Download and install the Gravity Sketch App
Project planning
- Inform Gravity Sketch about the sponsorship
- Define your design brief (including Gravity Sketch deliverable requirements) (see Appendix 2)
- Schedule key milestones (kickoff, midterm review, final review).
- Identify faculty members to oversee the program.
- Finalize the list of students for the sponsorship and ensure they are signed up, with the hardware needed
Training & resources
- Ensure all participants complete the onboarding training included in this guide.
- Review the certification recommendations for faculty members and students (Check out the “Certification” section in Resources and Training)
Documentation
- Identify key dates for capturing and sharing project highlights
- Leverage the suggested guidelines and recommendations to structure impactful presentations and effectively showcase sponsorship project highlights
Complete the Retrospective so the sponsorship project can be featured on the Gravity Sketch platforms and provide certification when needed.
