# Import Best Practices
This article contains best practice for importing models and images into Gravity Sketch.

#### Standalone headset
On a **standalone** **headset**, Gravity Sketch can handle about 500,000 polygons in a VR room with perfect performance and up to perhaps 1-2 million polygons with some performance issues.
However, this number depends on each use case and how many models you plan to have in one room. For example, if there are to be 5 copies of a model in one room, it would be best to keep each below 100,000 polygons.

#### Tethered headset
For a **tethered headset**, the polygon capacity depends on the capability of the PC to which the headset is tethered, and would usually be 2-10x more, with the capacity increasing with the cost and performance level of the PC.

#### Preparing Heavy Data for Import
Sometimes you may find the data or model you are trying to import into Gravity Sketch is too heavy and is causing lagging. Our Team of design consultants have put together some useful tutorials on how to reduce the complexity of your models to import, whilst maintaining the original model intent.

#### **Import best practice (images)**
The best practice is to keep images below 2048x2048 pixels. Users can usually import a significant number of images with no significant performance issues.
A 2048x2048 image would use 16MB of memory, and a Quest 2 has perhaps 2GB spare, meaning it has room for 125 images of that size.
A 1024x1024 image would use 4MB of memory.
