## May 2026 β Product Updates
### GS 6.6.400 (12 May 2026)
#### General
### π Features & Improvements
- Imported meshes now edit panel display their names in the edit panel if they have one
- Improved the performance of subdivision objects
### π Bug Fixes
- Fixed Recalculate Centre not working properly on OBJ imports
#### VR
### π Features & Improvements
- Reworked Spatial Alignments
- Moved it into a tab in the Environments menu
- Multiple alignments can be created and co-exist in the same Room
- Alignments can be renamed and deleted
- Added the ability to create alignments via QR code
- Added virtual objects which represent alignments in the Room which can be moved, joined or deleted
- Updated the look of the lock icon used in various parts of the app
- If Grid is enabled its spacing will be used as the snapping increment for object movement performed with the gumball
- Control points no longer snap to the Grid when moved via the gumball
- The gumball pivot can now be snapped to Grid points
### π Bug Fixes
- Placing more than one customizable subdivision primitive no longer causes the customization sliders to become ungrabbable
- Fixed other usersβ menus sometimes appearing to render on top of one and another if they closed a detached menu
- A manually moved gumball no longer moves back to its default position after performing any gumball movement operation

- Added a selection menu. This allows you to toggle various option such as bounding box visibility, gumball orientation and whether groups are respected or ignored

- Fixed measurement objects, thicken surface UI and section views sometimes appearing much larger or smaller than intended

- Added a message the Online Users menu to explain that Spatial Alignments has moved to the Environment menu

- Fixed persistent βNewβ tag in Online Users menu
- Email field now properly truncated in handraise form for paid subscriptions
- Removed ability to make some broken subd shapes that cause errors

- Layer management UX improvements (drag and drop interactions, name truncations)
- Subdivision levels can now be changed from edit mode
- Camera view no longer resets on entering edit mode
- Escape key can now be used to exit most modes and tools
- Model dimensions can now be changed on import
- Default isometric view camera when importing a model
- Other usersβ UI can now be hidden when taking screenshots
- Removed poorly compatible floor grid
- Improved measurement readouts when moving point in edit mode
- Renamed User Settings to User Preferences
- **\[GS Labs only\]**: unrestricted camera movements
### π Bug Fixes
- Fixed several dodgy UX interactions with Reference Points - sketch scaling behaviour, inability to move them, excessive zooming on double-click,
- Fixed empty and malfunctioning comments being created by cancelling an annotation
- Fixed materials sometimes loading indefinitely
- Materials, Environments, Settings and Learn menu are now properly hidden when UI sharing is off on following a VR user
- Fixed wrong pen colour on re-entering annotation mode if marker tool was selected
- VR userβs light beam orientation now syncs properly once confirmed rather than always pointing down
- Opening a comment created in a different camera mode (perspective vs. orthographic) to what is active no longer requires two clicks
- Text objects edited by other users are no longer unselectable
- System default audio input no longer disappears after deselecting
- System default audio input item no longer blank
